Tympanic Membrane Perforation and COVID-19

Background: World Health Organization considers the outbreak of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) as a global pandemic. The perforation Tympanic Membrane (TMP), followed by remission COVID-19, can be an uncommon presentation. Case Report: This report is unusual case COVID-19 in elderly woman who did not have any past medical history. She was admitted to hospital with uncommon, but serious presentation TMP after one week from infection. Otoscopy ear revealed clear external auditory canal and central pars tensa regular margins occupying posteroinferior quadrant. Computed tomography scan (axial view) thin cuts temporal bone well pneumatized mastoid regions without density or secretion normal middle ears secretion. After 2 months, tympanoplasty mastoidectomy performed, patient recovered fully, healed, audiogram performed months later found normal. Conclusion: highlighted importance attention presentations, such otalgia, sensation fullness that subsequent bacterial superinfection Covid-19
